Graduation will be on May 23, 2024 at 6PM on the GHS Bill Boyd Football Stadium.

Sewell Family

Coach Sewell and his family are returning to Gaston High, where he started his career. Coach Sewell has worked in secondary education for the past 13 years and has been a U.S. History, Psychology, World History, Government and Economics, Health, and driver education teacher. He has also held leadership roles mainly through coaching and was the head football coach and athletic director for 6 years between Ragland & West-End High School. He has served as head baseball and head girls basketball coach and has received Coach of the Year twice in the St. Clair County school system. He was also recognized as #10 in the Top 10 of Alabama High School coaches under 40. He also, received the 2022 Coach of the Year for Etowah County Schools.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Sewell and his family back to Gaston High School.

Gaston High School PTSO Spring Fling Event Notice!

All 7th - 12th grade students mark your calendar for May 14 with a rain date of May 16th!

The event will be from 11:00 - 2:45 PM on the Football Field. 

Wristband Price: $15 & day of event $20

Wristbands will be available to purchase through GoFan & during break in between classes from May 6th-15th. 

Students will receive their wristbands on the day of the event. 

REDNECK WATER SLIDE, INFLATABLE WATER SLIDES, MUSIC, CAR DEMOLITION, KARAOKE, CORN HOLE, BASEBALL THROW, JOUST, TATTOO POLAR, WRECKING BALL, CONCESSIONS AND COTTON CANDY BOOTH just to name a few!

Testing Digital Device Policy Notice!

Students and Parents,

Please read the following information about digital devices during standardized testing.

Digital devices are NOT allowed in the testing room at any time during Standardized Testing. Digital devices are defined as anything that can capture, store, relay, or receive electronic information. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: laptops, smart phones, smart watches, fitness trackers, MP3 players, and tablets. We will have a place for students to place their cell phone OUTSIDE of the testing room the day of testing. Please DO NOT wear your apple watches, FitBits, etc. to school on the day of testing if you are taking the test. This will be strictly enforced.
